Dolittle Cottages has 2 Cottages in a peaceful setting located in Swellendam. The 3 resident donkeys will greet guests and the roaming chickens might pop by to say hello. If country living is guests thing and guests love animals, they will love their stay here.
The 2 cottages are each equipped with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and an open plan kitchen and lounge area. Both cottages are identical with different colour schemes in each to make each unique. The main bedroom is equipped with a queen sized bed and the second has 2 single beds.
The lounge has a queen sized sleeper couch and a TV with access to a full DSTV package. The bathroom is equipped with a bath and a shower. Fully equipped kitchen with all appliances, crockery, cutlery and glassware. Braai on stoep is provided. Free WiFi and alarm systems are provided in both cottages. Guests have access to an electric gate to park in (remote control provided on arrival).
We live right next door and guests are welcome to use the splash pool to cool off anytime. Someone is always available either on the premises or on call if theres anything guests need that isnt provided. Well make sure there is coffee, tea, sugar and milk when guests arrive and that the ice trays are full. There will also be enough wood for guests first braai on us!

Important Information
- No smoking in the cottages, but an ashtray is provided for outside use.
- Dolittle Cottages has a number of pets including dogs, cats, chickens and donkeys, so request that children be supervised.
- Dolittle would allow small pets, but by arrangement only and only in certain cases.
- Dolittle is planning on making the cottages pet friendly, but at the moment they are not.
Cancellation Policy
- 50% non refundable deposit if booking is made 2 weeks or more in advance.
- 75% non refundable deposit if less than 2 weeks.
