Swellendam is a gorgeous little town in the Overberg region on the N2 highway, situated at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains. The town has become well known as a paradise for those that love the outdoors. The surrounding mountains feature fynbos-covered foothills, perfect for mountain biking, 4x4, horse riding and hiking trails, as well as taking to the skies on a glider, for breathtaking scenery of Swellendam.

Plenty of restaurants are available in the town while other outdoor activities include canoeing, fishing, swimming and water skiing at the nearby Breede River and Buffeljachts Dam. Additionally, wonderful sunset cruises are available on the dam.
