As you enjoy the truly specular Garden Route while on vacation, perhaps you will come across the almost hidden Garden Route Wolf Sanctuary that is situated just off the N2 between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. Experience something truly memorable by visiting this wonderful sanctuary, where you will have the rare opportunity to see Timber Wolves, Black Backed Jackals and Africa Wild Dogs up close. There are even friendly husky dogs and wolf dogs who love attention and meeting new people.

Visitors to the sanctuary can choose to Walk With Wolves, a tour that is open at an additional cost and set in the stunning forest behind the facilities, or else merely explore the surroundings at their own pace. For family visits, the petting park is an amazing experience and Angora Goats, pigs and other animals fascinate youngsters. There is a small restaurant on the ground too, where guests and enjoy coffee and a light meal, while the curio shop is the perfect place to take a few trinkets home with you after a fun-filled day of exploring. Open daily from 8 am to 6 pm, 7 days a week and no need to book in advance.
