The Beach House is situated on the sand dunes of the long crisp beach which used to be home to famous artist Rosa Anderson, then called “The Studio". It is the only guest house situated on Hout Bay’s golden beaches, offering magnificent seascapes and panoramic views for that perfect retreat.

The Beach House offers a harmonious blend of décor and architectural style reflecting the tastes of “dictates“ of the past, tastefully aligned with comforts of modern day living. Close to the major tourist attractions and centrally located, The Beach House offers that perfect base from which to explore the Cape Peninsula tourist attractions. The Cape Wine Lands, the source of world-class wines from premium estates in Franschhoek, Stellenbosch and the Paarl are nearby.
Hout Bay beach, perched on the side of Chapman’s Peak Drive and less than 3 minutes walking distance from The Beach House, offers one of the safest sailing venues in the world. It is the Centre for International Game Fishing Competitions, the whole gamut of aquatic sports with Sea Kayaking as the popular newcomer.
Sunset Champagne Cruises to Cape Town’s V&A Waterfront, boat trips to Seal Island in a glass bottomed boat and even whale watching can be enjoyed. The mountains guarding The Beach House provide incredible hiking, abseiling and horse riding.

Important Information
- Full settlement of your accommodation account is required on arrival.
- All major credit cards accepted. Unfortunately we do not accept any Cheques or Travellers Cheques.
- All Rates Single or Double Occupancy, quoted in S.A.Rand (ZAR).
- All Rates Inclusive of either Full English or Continental Breakfast.
- All Rates inclusive of VAT currently 14% nett. Rates do not include 1 % Tourism Levy to be added on your account upon arrival.
- All check-ins occur before 18h00. Checking in outside these hours will be subject to an unspecified delay while arrangements are made to check you in latest until 20h00 unless prior arrangements have been made with The Beach House. The office officially closes from 20h00 until 08h00 the next day.
- All extras to be paid on check-out.
- Late check-out on arrangement only @ full accommodation rate subject to availability. Although will try everything possible to keep guests preferred room booked online all allocation of rooms dependent on availability of that day.
- Are unable to accommodate more than 2 guest per room.
- Please indicate clearly on double room occupence if a twin or double bed bedroom is required. Since double or twin beds are available, kindly state preference clearly.
- Rates are subject to change with immediate effect if Government Levies (Tomsa)/Tax (VAT) should alter.
- When settling the accommodation balance of the account on check-in, a copy of guests I.D or passport is required, a copy or inprint of current credit card and car registration number. This is part of routine check in procedure and guests cooperation will be much appreciated.
- Guests must please advise prior to arrival of approximated time of arrival as it will help to serve guests best.
Cancellation Policy
- Reservations confirmed with a 50% confirmation deposit can be cancelled 30 days prior to arrival and is fully refundable/ Balance of payment is payable on arrival.
- Bookings cancelled less than 30 days prior to arrival, no refund on deposit.
- Bookings made less than 30 days prior to arrival, no refund on deposit.
- No Show 100% of total cost of Reservation levied.
