Sunbird Lodge is located in a quiet suburb of Hout Bay, a captivating coastal suburb of Cape Town. It is ideally situated just a 20-minute drive from the city centre and all of its top tourist attractions. Hout Bay enjoys a rural atmosphere surrounded by a cobalt blue ocean, magnificent mountain ranges, and eclectic shops and restaurants.

Accommodation is available in 2 one bedroom self-catering apartments. Both kitchens have a 2 plate stove, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster. Complimentary coffee and tea are provided upon guests arrival; along with a hairdryer, soap, shampoo and body lotion in the bathroom. The apartments are serviced twice a week.

A small library of books is available and includes information on the area and bird species. Tables and chairs are strategically placed outside the apartments for outdoor dining, sundowners and to enjoy the braai facilities. The lodge also has a pool with loungers for relaxing and swimming. Swimming and bath towels are provided.

    Sugarbird Apartment is a spacious loft style apartment which contains a queen size bed and a bathroom which is fitted with a bath and a shower. A single bed is provided in the open-plan lounge area for a third person.

    The kitchen, which is finished with beech and granite, is equipped with a 2 plate stove, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave, a coffee maker, a kettle and a toaster.

    Complimentary coffee and tea are provided upon guests arrival; along with a hairdryer, soap, shampoo and body lotion in the bathroom. The apartment is serviced twice a week.

Important Information

- Cancellations of credit card deposits at any time will forfeit: 4.5% to cover credit card costs.
- Booking deposits made by credit card will forfeit the bank charge i.e. 4.5% when cancelled at any time and those deposits paid by bank transfer particularly from overseas banks will forfeit the relevant bank charges incurred.
- If you require a later check in or check out please discuss this with management beforehand.
- No animals.
- No indoor smoking but responsible outdoor smoking in designated areas.
 

Cancellation Policy

- If guest cancels within 7 days prior to their booking they forfeit: 100 % of the total paid. 
- If guest cancels within 14 days prior to their booking they forfeit: 100 % of the deposit paid. 
- If guest cancels within 21 days prior to their booking they forfeit: 50% of the deposit paid. 
- If guest cancels within 40 days prior to their booking they forfeit: 25% of the deposit paid.
