Oude Wellington Estate - Vineyard Cottage, Wellington

The majestic Slanghoek - Hawequa mountain range forms the backdrop to Oude Wellington Wine Estate in the middle of the Cape Winelands. Cape Town, Table Mountain, Stellenbosch, Fransshoek and the 2 oceans are just an hours drive away. Many locals commute daily to Cape Town, because of Wellingtons safe and central setting in the Winelands.

Imagine a historical Cape Dutch Estate of 1790 with thick, white walls and gables, a romantic rustic restaurant in a working distillery and rooms combining the old charm with comfort.

The self-catering cottage has one en-suite bedroom with a queen-size bed and a single bed. The cottage also has a lounge with a fold-out couch, on request. There is a fireplace, a flat-screen TV, DSTV (easy view), a DVD, a bar fridge, radio-alarm, a safe, tea and coffee machine and a kitchenette.

Please note: The swimming pool and duck pond are not fenced in. There is always something cooking at Oude Wellington. The owners do not only produce wine and brandy, but are also Alpaca breeders. They are the most cuddly, friendly animals and will come when called.

The very cosy country restaurant combines culinary inspirations with classic European and Indonesian cuisine. Enjoy daily changing specials, venison, soups and deserts. Oude Wellington Wine Estate are proud of being popular with the locals. Be seated under shady Oak trees or inside the distilling cellar with big barrels and cosy fireplaces, not only in Winter. For entertainment there is Petanque, Billiard, a swimming pool and wine tasting as well as horseback riding, learning and out rides.
