Mariner Guesthouse is architecturally designed with space, comfort and luxury in mind for its guests. The decor is a combination between classic and modern, with a light maritime touch.
The building extends over three levels with a double volume lounge with leather couches, Oriental carpets and fire place. The dining area has large windows and extends onto a protected veranda where guests can enjoy a breakfast that will keep them satisfied all day!
It offers 9 spacious and beautifully decorated en suite bedrooms, all with breathtaking views and within walking distance of the centre of town and beaches.
All 9 en suite bedrooms have the following: internet connection and free WiFi, satellite TV with DSTV, ceiling fans/heating, air conditioning in selected rooms, heated towel rails, mini bar fridge, tea and coffee making facilities with access to a microwave oven, secure electronic safe and a hairdryer.
With access through our garden gate and steps down to the centre of town, guests can take a leisurely walk to shops or beaches, or to one of the towns excellent restaurants (all within 1km radius of guesthouse).
Other facilities and services include: a on site manager, secure off street parking, large and spacious bedrooms, rooms serviced daily, sea and mountain views from every room, laundry service, computer with wireless internet connection, email, photocopy and fax facility (from the office) and connected to Cape Medical Response.
Tranquil indigenous garden breakfast with a choice of continental, full English or the Mariner special dinner/snack platter on request, or we can make a restaurant booking for guests.
Picnic baskets can be ordered for lunch or sunset outings. Airport and other transfers can be arranged, and the Metro train from Simons Town through to Cape Town is a reliable option for transport. Complimentary evening shuttle to Simons Town centre.
Stroll down cobbled streets to explore the Victorian village boasting beautiful historical buildings, antique shops and museums. Relax with a glass of wine in one of the restaurants at our waterfront, whilst enjoying authentic African music.
Mariner Guesthouse is within 1km walking distance of Sea forth and Boulders beaches where swimming or sun bathing is fabulous, and a boardwalk runs through the African Penguin nesting area.

Important Information
- Please make prior arrangements with the managing agent for arrival before check in time, or arrival after 10pm.
- Single persons occupying a room will be charged the "sharing room" rate, plus extra per night.
- Children between 6 and 10 years will be charged per night, inclusive of breakfast, if sharing a room with parents.
- Children between 0 and 5 years will be charged per night, inclusive of breakfast.
- A kiddies bed, mattress or baby cot can be provided on request.
- Snack platters available on request.
- Airport transfers and day tours can be arranged.
- Payment for meals or any other extras to be made on the day of departure
- Rates include VAT.
Cancellation Policy
- Deposits and cancellation fees are calculated on the full value of the booking.
- The managing agent will retain the full deposit payment in the case of cancellations made within 30 days of arrival date, and in the case of "no shows".
- A 90% refund of deposits will be applicable to bookings cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival.
- After check in, no refunds will be offered for shortened stays.
