Houtbosdorp is a self-catering bush lodge located on a hill with beautiful mountain surroundings and magnificent bird life, just 1km from the Crocodile River. There are nine wooden houses that sleep 26 guests at a time, with an ablution block, bush showers and outside toilets, sharing. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, bomas, lapas, 2 splash pools and a play area for the children.
Each Wooden House is separately available on a self-catering basis. The wooden houses consist of 2, 3 and 4 sleeper units, and are fully equipped with bedding, towels, a fan in summer, an oil heater in winter and fridges/bar fridges. Some of the wooden houses have a TV and each wooden house has it own braai area. There are no bathrooms or kitchen inside the wooden houses. Tea and coffee making facilities are not provided in the wooden houses and there is no air conditioning, only fans.
The last 3km of the road leading to Houtbosdorp is a gravel road which is not suitable for vehicles with a low clearance.At Houtbosdorp, the staff strives to give guests a bush veld experience to ensure they enjoy every moment, while at the same time offering a comfortable stay, good service, a secure environment, affordable packages, as well as a variety of activities and local tourist attractions around Hartebeespoort Dam.

Important Information
- Breakage and excessive cleaning requires a deposit to be paid in cash on arrival and is refundable if everything is in order.
- Key deposit per wooden house is to be paid in cash on arrival and is refundable.
- No check-in after 7pm on the day of arrival, an extra fee per hour will be charged.
- If guests check-out on a later time, an extra fee per hour will be charged.
- Visiting guests will pay a fee for 1 day and per day every other day.
- Towels are only for use for bathing purposes, guests are required to bring their own towels for the splash pool.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 1 month before at stay date: 60% deposit is refundable.
- Cancellation 2 weeks before at stay date: 30% deposit is refundable.
- Cancellation 1 week before at stay date: 0% deposit is refundable.
