Free standing, double storey, Victorian style self catering cottage offering a master bedroom downstairs with queen size bed, air-conditioning, under floor heating and en-suite bathroom with bath, wash basin and toilet. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas hob with electric oven, is open plan with the lounge which has a fireplace, under floor heating, air-conditioning, TV with DSTV (Hotel Bouquet) and DVD player. Guest bathroom with shower, wash basin and toilet downstairs. Upstairs are two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed, under floor heating and air-conditioning, and the other has two single beds, under floor heating and air-conditioning. The upstairs bathroom has a shower, wash basin and toilet.
 
Barbecue facilities are on the patio, and parking on the side of the cottage. The cottage is situated in the centre of the resort close to the tennis court and pool, with a wonderful view down the valley towards the Sentinel peak in Hout Bay, overlooking the beautifully kept gardens and the Twelve Apostles Mountains in the west and Table Mountain on the north boundary. The tariff is based on occupancy by six people.
 
Hout Bay, a short but beautiful drive down the Main Road has evolved from a quaint little village to one of the popular towns on the Atlantic Seaboard. Approximately 2km from the Common is the largest Bird Park in Africa, the World of Birds. There are many things to do and see, and staff will assist in arranging a boat trip to Seal Island, give you information on scuba diving, sailing, jet skiing, point you in the right direction to view whales during the season and advise where to go horse riding.
 
Relax in the serenity of your cottage or walk to the top of Table Mountain from your doorstep. The Mountain Retreat borders the Cecilia Forest which offers a vast network of walks and jogging paths through Kirstenbosch to Newlands Forest, stretching to the top of Table Mountain and Cape Town.
