GlenDonald Cottage, Ceres

GlenDonalds is the perfect mountain cottage that lies hidden away in the mountains of the Western Cape. Situated at the headwaters of the Olifants River, GlenDonald cottage offers visitors the opportunity to experience the Cape Floral Kingdom in all its glory.

Surrounded by magnificent mountains the 4500 hectare property is dissected by the Olifants River Gorge, and is home to a number of rare endemic floral, avian and freshwater species.

The cottage features four bedrooms of which 2 are en-suite. The two main bedrooms comprise queen beds. Room three has a double bed while room 4 has three single beds. Room three and four share a bathroom.

The kitchen includes a gas stove with oven, gas fridge/ freezer (gas is provided) , cutlery, crockery and utensils. 

The dining area has 3m wide doors opening out onto the deck and has two leather couches. There is a book and games shelf in the living area.

The outside patio has a 2m diameter braai, camp chairs, two plate gas hob and a Dover stove/ oven.

There is also an outside free flowing rock pool, an umbrella, a table and benches.

The house lights are solar powered and there are no plug points, but there is a small USB charger. Linen and bath towels are provided as well as a basic First Aid kit.

There is no cellphone reception at the cottage. You can get reception approximately 500m away.
