Fossil Hills Farm Cottages is situated on the Thornvilla Farm, in the Breede Valley between Robertson and McGregor. This working wine farm forms part of the McGregor Winery. Grapes, plums, apricots and various vegetables are harvested each year.
The accommodation comprises of 3 self catering cottages and 1 house. Two of the cottages can sleep up to 4 guests and one can sleep 2 guests. The house can sleep up to 16 guests. The cottages are at different locations on the farm. There is cell phone reception in all cottages. Only the Aloe Cottage and Pinotage House are pet friendly.
The area offers many outdoor activities such as fruit orchards, olive groves, vineyards, walking and hiking trails, mountain biking, 4x4 trails, bird watching in Vrolijkheid Nature Reserve. Guests can also enjoy the pottery studio, art galleries, cob house building or enjoy a meal at the local coffee shops, restaurants or pubs.

Fossil Hills Farm Cottage is a stone cottage with a thatched roof that is situated up on the hillside with great views over the farm and valley. The cottage comprises a room with a double bed and a room upstairs with 2 single beds, both rooms share a bathroom with a bath and a shower. The living area is open plan with an equipped kitchen, breakfast nook, lounge and an indoor fireplace. Other facilities include air conditioning, outdoor braai, outdoor hot tub, 2 mountain bikes, firewood and the cottage is also pet friendly.

Pinotage House

Pinotage House is a 5 bedroom house with plenty of trees, a stunning garden and play area for the children. The house comprises of 2 rooms each with a double bed and an en suite bathroom, 1 room with a double bed, 2 rooms each with 2 single beds in each room and 2 shared bathrooms with a shower. There is a separate kitchen, a lounge with a fireplace and an entertainment area with a braai and an outdoor hot tub. Other facilities include air conditioning, 2 mountain bikes, a kiddies playground and firewood.
