The variety of sleeping options cater for couples, singles and families. The two vineyard cottages namely Die Bakhuis & Ou Skooltjie are situated at the edge of the Shiraz vineyard and have a truly magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.
Die Bakhuis offers one double en-suite bedroom and a comfortable living area fitted with a kitchenette. The living area also provides an adjacent ¾ bed as a day bed or additional sleeping option.
Die Ou Skooltjie also has a bedroom with double bed and en suite bathroom. The living area has a kitchenette and dining area as well as large corner couch that can be converted into a additional double bed.
The cottages are over 100 years old and reflect their previous uses, a baking house and a school room in their names. Thick clay walls and classic sash windows complement the rustic ambience of the farm-style decor. A braai on the patio, overlooking the shiraz vineyards, is a must during your stay.
Curious visitors might want to explore some of the eco-driven activities at De Kombuys. Other guests might simply want to sit back on the veranda and enjoy the abundance of birdlife in the area.

Die Bakhuis is one of our Vineyard Cottages situated at the edge of the Shiraz vineyard and has a truly magnificent view of the surrounding mountains.
It offers one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a comfortable living area fitted with a kitchenette. The living area also provides an adjacent 3/4 bed to be used as day bed or additional sleeping option. The Bakhuis can comfortably sleep 3.
This cottage is over 100 years old and reflects its’ previous use –a baking house – in its’ name. Thick clay walls and classic sash windows complement the rustic ambience of the farm-style decor. A braai on the patio, overlooking the Shiraz vineyards, is a must during your stay.

It offers one double bedroom with en suite bathroom and a comfortable living area fitted with a kitchenette. The living area has a corner couch which can be converted into a double bed. The cottage can accommodate 4 guests.
This cottage is over 100 years old and reflects its’ previous use –a school room – in its’ name. Thick clay walls and classic sash windows complement the rustic ambience of the farm-style decor. A BBQ on the patio, overlooking the Shiraz vineyards, is a must during your stay.

Cancellation Policy
- If cancelled or modified up to 90 days before date of arrival: 10 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- If cancelled or modified up to 30 days before date of arrival: 40 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- If cancelled or modified up to 14 days before date of arrival: 70 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival: 100 percent of the total price of the reservation will be charged.
- If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show: the total price of the reservation will be charged.
