Port Shepstone is located at the mouth of the largest river on the south coast of the South Africa, the Mzimkulu River. Port Shepstone was founded in 1867 after marble was discovered nearby and was named after Sir Theophilius Shepstone of the Natal Government in the 1880’s.
There are a number of activities to enjoy in Port Shepstone. Oribi Gorge Nature Reserve is located 21 kilometres inland from Port Shepstone. Oribi Gorge is perfect for a day trip and one of its main attractions is the impressive gorge which was carved by the Umzimkulwana River. This is truly a photographer’s and a nature lover’s dream.
You can also catch a glimpse of the famous Port Shepstone lighthouse. The lighthouse was manufactured in Britain and then shipped to Natal in the 1890’s. Treat yourself to a delicious meal at The Cellar in Sea Park. The restaurant is small and intimate with inside and outside seating. The perfect location for a romantic dinner during your stay in Port Shepstone.
Beach View House offers stylish, spacious en suite accommodation with sea views from every room. Braai facilities on the verandah. Our spacious and stylish rooms each have a sea view from every room leading onto large balconies. All rooms are en suite with air conditioning units and DSTV.
Main rooms consist of a double bed and has a private lounge area. Housekeeping can be arranged to be done daily. Large balconies provide the opportunity to see breathtaking sunrises and whales and dolphins can often be seen enjoying the surf. The South Coast is a great rock and surf fishing area with many different species swimming by our coast.
The large outdoor pool area will keep the kids entertained for hours. Local beaches are just a few minutes drive or you can take a stroll down to the beach. The sub-tropical coastline is ideal for beach days as the temperature seldom drops below 18 degrees celsius. Local beaches are close by.
Conference facilities are available for up to 20 people and catering can be arranged. Internet facilities and other office facilities are available and can be arranged with management. Laundry services can be arranged. Beach View is close to all major CBD’s and shopping malls are within walking distance. Tasteful restaurants are in a close vicinity or if a movie/dinner is your choice for the evening, Shelly Beach Mall is less than 10 min away.

Important Information
- A non-refundable Admin Fee is charged per unit on each and every reservation
- A refundable Breakages Deposit charged and will be refunded into your bank account within 10 days of receiving the breakage deposit form; if there are no losses or breakages.
- Dishes service at an additional charge per day.
- Daily service additionally charged per service.
- Strictly No Rental of accommodation to persons under 21 unless accompanied by two adults.
- No extra guests allowed over and above the number of beds in the apartment. - If extra guests are found in the units, eviction will take place.
- No smoking allowed inside units.
- The volume of music and noise is to be kept to a reasonable level at all times. No parties allowed
- If a disturbance is caused that leads to guests and permanent tenants complaining, the Lessee may be evicted and will forfeit the rental paid.
- Time of arrival strictly 1pm. Time of departure strictly 10am
Cancellation Policy
- Refunds payable are at the sole discretion of the managing agent.
- All returns / refunds will be looked into and the cardholder to make contact with managing agent
- A no show is the non arrival of a guest without notification in writing by fax or email to managing agent
- In the event of a cancellation, your deposit will only be refunded if another reservation is made by other guests for the same period.
