Houtkapperspoort Mountain Cottages is situated within Houtkapperspoort Resort, positioned on the slopes of the mountain overlooking the Hout Bay Valley. The cottages are located in a hidden glen beneath the cooling shade of indigenous trees. Houtkapperspoort offers a relaxing, tranquil stay with fresh mountain air, and endless forest paths that wind through indigenous fynbos.

Comfortable accommodation is offered in 7 fully furnished self-catering cottages. Each cottage has a verandah and braai facilities, and is equipped with bed linen and towels, a TV with selected DStv channels and a DVD player, air-conditioning, and a wood-burning fireplace and/or underfloor heating. Each cottage is equipped for self-catering with a fridge, oven and stove, and a microwave.

The Meyerhof Accommodation on Meyer Street is five minutes away by car from the Medical Constantiaberg Hospital. The rates for our accommodations include optional transportation to and from the medical facility.

Our home, Meyerhof, is a Cape Dutch farmhouse built in 1814. A historic and unique thatched home with associated self-catering apartments and a studio. The property has multiple outside, furnished relaxation and social areas in the eclectic and large, lush garden. This includes two pools, two gazebo-covered areas within a terrace, and a courtyard, as well as several braai/barbeque opportunities in varied spaces.

Each of the character accommodations, along with room options, offers up to two guests a comfortable, homely environment with different designs in furnishings and decor, honouring aspects of the history of the property.

Meyerhof is located only a 10-minute drive from the edges of the Constantia Valley Wine Route. Groot Constantia, Eagles Nest, Constantia Glen, and Beau Constantia Wine Estates. City Sightseeing Cape Town, open-top buses run from within or outside these farms. Buitenverwachting and Klein Constantia Wine farms are also very accessible, situated on the other side of the most historic Groot Constantia.
