Gardens

One of the oldest and most established neighbourhoods in Cape Town, Gardens is located between Oranjezicht and Tamboerskloof and is only a short distance from the city's center. Here, just beyond the bustle of the city, Table Mountain, at whose base the suburb is located, looms like a warm couch. The homes here, those that haven't been broken up or converted into commercial properties, have a colonial feel to them, and some of them are real mansions. Since large rooms with high ceilings and wooden floors are in high demand, it should come as no surprise that many of these are converted into guest homes or hotels.
