Gansbaai

Great White Sharks and Southern Right Whales both frequent the  Atlantic waters off the Danger Point  Peninsula, which is a significant tourist destination. At the foot of the Dynefontein Mountains in Walker Bay, between the cities of Hermanus and Pearly Beach, is Gaansbaai, which boasts a stunning beach covered with fynbos vegetation. Even with its expanding fame and popularity, Gansbaai is still fundamentally a fishing community. The fact that every resident of the town, regardless of his or her occupation, is also a fisherman, along with the fact that the town revolves around the harbour and the daily catch, is what makes it so distinctive and such a beautiful destination to visit.
