Britannia Bay

Britannia Bay is located 160km up the Cape West Coast from Cape Town, a straightforward 90-minute trip. There are miles of unspoiled, secure beaches in Britannia Bay. Due to the Benguela current not passing through the bay, it is relatively protected and the water is slightly warmer than most locations on the West Coast. For up to ten months of the year, the bay is packed with Southern Right and Humpback whales, which are always fascinating to witness. There are also a great deal of resident dolphins.
