Come indulge in delicious local food and wine at AfriCamps at Stanford Hills. This camp is set on a boutique wine farm in Stanford, an exciting slow food destination with chefs serving an array of fresh and locally produced food. There are 5 glamping tents situated on the foothill of the Klein River Mountain range overlooking a dam and the Stanford Valley. This foodie delight is only a fifteen minute drive from Hermanus and can be reached from Cape Town in two hours.
The tents consist of a spacious open plan lounge area with a comfortable couch and a fully equipped kitchen. The dining room area has a solid wooden table with enough seating for 5 people. For winter months, the fireplace will be the perfect way to warm up the tent. There are two bedrooms, both furnished with a queen size bed and each have their own private entrance. One of the bedrooms also have an extra length single bunk bed, so the tent can accommodate 5 people comfortably.
The tents are each equipped with air conditioning and a private bathroom with a hot shower cabin, washbasin and a toilet. The private wooden deck at the front of each tent comes with comfortable wooden loungers. When days get warmer guest can pull up the front covers and transform the tent into a big outdoor living area. Here one can unwind and appreciate a festive family breakfast while enjoying the beautiful weather and taking in the serene natural beauty of the South African landscape.
The charming town of Stanford is overlooked by the Klein River Mountains. It is famous for it’s award winning eateries and has an eclectic mix of art galleries, breweries and wine farms, all with fantastic views of this valley area. Stanford is in close proximity to Hermanus, considered as one of the best whale watching destinations in the world and a treat for adventurous types as there are mountain bike trails, horse riding, shark cage diving and boat cruises, all within the area.

- The following items or services are not included in the price, unless otherwise stated: Food and Beverage, Activities and Tours, Daily cleaning service which is complimentary every 4th day only, Wood and firelighters for the woodstove and campfires which is for sale at the farm.
- The optional breakfast baskets and braai packages are placed in the tent for guests to prepare themselves.
- The managing agent and the corresponding farm accept no liability for: theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay on one of the affiliated farms, falling into defect or putting out of action of technical equipment and loss or closure of supplies on the farm.
- The guests and those who accompany him or her, are jointly and severally responsible for all loss and/or damage which arises, for AfriCamps, the farm in question and/or any third party as a direct or an indirect consequence of their stay, irrespective of whether this was caused through actions or refraining from actions by themselves or by third parties, who are at the farm through their making, as well as of all damage which is caused by any animal and/or matter which they have under their responsibility.
- If guests leave their tent in an improper condition, the managing agent is entitled to charge a fee of additional cleaning costs. This fee can double in combination with a late departure.
Cancellation Policy
- In the event of a cancellation more than a month before arrival, the deposit will be non- refundable.
- In the event of cancellation within a month before arrival the entire booking amount is payable to the managing agent.
- In the case of premature termination of the stay, the entire booking amount is payable to the managing agent.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellation more than 1 month prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fee, 50% deposit is non-refundable.
- Cancellation within one 1 month prior to arrival: 100% Cancellation fee, full amount is due and non-refundable.
