Kalk Bay

Kalk Bay is situated on the coast of False Bay, lying adjacent to heights of Table Mountain grey sandstone. This little fishing village connects to Simon's Town via a railway and is littered with deposits of mussel shells which the first settlers used to produce construction lime hence, the given name of the town which literally translates to Lime Bay from the Dutch tongue.

The village of Kalk Bay includes a selection of alluring restaurants and cafés. Activities and attractions include visits to the harbour, scenic hiking trails, art galleries, a theatre and more.
