Stanford Hills Estates Cottages are situated on the historic Weltevrede Farm and offers comfortable self catering accommodation within close proximity to the quaint village of Stanford, which is situated on the banks of the Klein River.
Accommodation is offered in 3 separate units comprising Brunia Cottage, Sylvia Cottage and Park Home. The historic labourers cottages, Brunia and Sylvia, have been restored to offer comfort and self contained convenience. Brunia Cottage and Sylvia Cottage are adjacent to one another, approximately a 5 minute walk from the admin office and restaurant. The Park Home overlooks one of the farm dams and offers accommodation in a luxury camping cabin. Guests of this unit do require a vehicle as it is located on the side of the mountain between the vineyards and Protea plantations.
The Tasting Room Restaurant is open 7 days a week. Breakfast is served from 08h30 to 11h00 and lunch is served from 12h00 to 16h00. Guests staying at Stanford Hills are welcome to a free tasting of the wines produced on Stanford Hills Estates. A renovated original farm cottage is the setting for the charming tasting and bar area, with views over a dam to the Stanford Valley beyond.
The 3 farm dams are fed by mountain streams and are fairly safe for swimming, one of the farm dams, located in front of the restaurant, has a rowing boat and canoe for guests to use at their own risk. Another farm dam is stocked with bass and guests are welcome to try their luck on a catch and release basis. Guests are required to bring their own fishing equipment. Horse riding is available on the farm and there are 2 hiking trails, one is 2 km and the other is 5 km.
Children of all ages are welcome and there is a large playground with a swing, trampoline, and jungle gym located in front of the restaurant, as well as various toys. All facilities at Stanford Hills are pet friendly. Picnic baskets, welcome platters and drinks can be delivered by prior arrangement.

Brunia Cottage

This historic labourers' cottage has been restored to offer comfort and self contained convenience. The cottage comprises 2 bedrooms, an open plan kitchenette and living area, and a bathroom with a shower.
The French doors leading out from the lounge open up onto a large private patio with braai facilities and views over the Stanford valley. An indoor fireplace ensures that the cottage stays cosy in cooler weather. This cottage can accommodate 4 guests.
The first bedroom contains a double bed and the second bedroom contains twin beds. The kitchenette is equipped with a 2-plate mini oven/stove, microwave, under the counter fridge, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery, and cooking utensils.
Brunia Cottage is adjacent to Sylvia Cottage and is approximately a 5 minute walk from the admin office and the restaurant.

Park Home

Park Home is a luxury camping cabin comprising 2 bedrooms. One with a double bed and one with three narrow and short bunk style beds suitable for children only, 1 bathroom with a shower, an open-plan kitchenette and living area with a breakfast bar, and a deck with portable braai facilities.
The kitchenette is equipped with a 2 plate mini gas oven/stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, cutlery and crockery, and cooking utensils. Please note that the bunk beds in the second bedroom are narrow and short caravan styled bunk beds, these are only suitable for children and not for adults.
The deck looks out onto one of the farm dams and the Klein River Valley. The trailer can accommodate 5 guests and requires vehicle access as it is located up on the side of the mountain between the vineyards and Protea plantations.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made more than 30 days before booking will be refunded in full.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days before booking will only be refunded if Management is able to find an alternative booking.
