Hout Bay is a bustling fishing village with the harbour and wharf being in close proximity to us. There are a number of unique shops that should be explored as well as the fish restaurants and the fish and chip takeaways. There are also round the clock trips to seal island on the boats or if you fancy deep sea fishing, charters can be arranged. The famous Chapmans Peak drive and mountains are directly in front of us and a short drive away.
This is one of the most spectacular coastal roads in the world. In the valley, with its large oak trees, there are numerous stables that offer horseback trips and riding lessons. Another attraction in Hout Bay is the World of Birds presumably being the biggest bird park in South Africa with more than a couple of hundred different species. The Whale season is from August to the beginning of November when the whales venture in to the bay.
There are 5 tastefully furnished en-suite luxury rooms that have been styled for relaxation and comfort. Seacliffe lodge overlooks Chapmans Peak,the sea and the working fishing harbour. All rooms have DSTV, wifi access and tea/coffee making facilities. Beach and restaurants within walking distance. Tv with DSTV and all the local channels,bathroom,shower, tea and coffee making facility. Complimentary cherry,Heater. All the rooms have a queen size bed with one room being a family room which has a queen size bed and two single beds.
Seafood restaurants are in abundance here as well as a variety of other restaurants. Mariners Wharf being within walking distance. Chapmans Peak drive is a mere 5 minutes drive away which is your gateway to Simons Town and Cape Point. World of Birds, presumably the largest bird park in Africa is about 8 minutes drive. Trips to Seal Island are available in the harbour, which is close by.

Important Information
All rates are quoted in South African Rands, per person sharing per night and is inclusive of 14% VAT. Tourism Levy not included in rate, Rates for B & B are inclusive of a full breakfast. Pre-payment of a 30% deposit is required for confirmation Deposit and balance of payment can be made by bank transfer or deposit. No Charge for children under the age of two years.(sharing with adults)
Children between the ages of 3 and 11 years pay R250.00. (sharing with adults) Children over the ages of eleven years are charged as adults Children in their own room pay full adult price. Rates are subject to change without prior notice. Self catering :- every extra person over the age of 3 years pays an additional cost. If a client decides to leave early or cut their accommodation shorter on arrival, then they are due to pay the full amount of the booking which including the days they do not stay.
Cancellation Policy
The following cancellation fees shall be applicable and shall be calculated by reference to funds received at that point.
- Failure of the customer to arrive, or cancellations made 0 to 14 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 100% of the deposit.
- Cancellations made 15 to 28 days prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 75% of the deposit or 25% of the booking quote value, whichever the greater.
- Cancellations made 29 days or more prior to the agreed arrival date forfeit 50% of the deposit or 25% of the booking total, whichever is the greater.
- Seacliffe Lodge levies a 7% administration fee on any refunds processed. Should refunds to a SWIFT bank account be required, an additional R175 charge will be levied.
