Cederkloof Botanical Retreat is situated on a 270 hectares fynbos, citrus farm in the Citrusdal Valley in the Oliphants River Mountains which neighbours the Cederberg Wilderness area.
The Farm is situated in a very secluded gorge that has a warm water spring, between 26 to 30 degrees, which seeps through the rock further up in the valley.
The resort offers 6 One Bedroom Chalets. Each chalet has an en suite bathroom, with a shower and bath.
Each room has a king size bed which can be changed into single beds, perfect for conference and work functions. If guests would like to add a third or fourth person, 2 single beds can be added in living room.
There is a Jacuzzi provided on each chalets veranda but to use the Jacuzzi guests need to pay an extra cost per day. Included in guests stay are 2 bags of firewood on arrival. Additional firewood can be purchased on site per bag if needed.
There is a payment box for firewood and ice on the wall of the postal (on the side of the swimming pool). Free WiFi is provided at the lounge and pool area but not at the cottages. Cottages 6 to 10 has good cellphone reception.
The Farm has a 2 km river that is situated in the mountains, guests would need to travel about 400 m further down on a gravel road.
The river is ideal for swimming, canoeing, bird watching and fishing. There is a lovely 4 km hiking trail which includes panoramic views, Gorge hiking covered in wild bush.
Citrusdal has numerous activities and includes a golf course, mountain biking trails, hiking trails, canoeing, horse riding, 4x4 trails, bird watching and fishing.

- The establishment is pet friendly. Please help in this regard by taking responsibility for guests four legged friends and respect for the cottages.
- A late check out will be charged at an extra cost, especially if not arranged with the managing agent.
- Guests keys will be left in the cottage door.
- Ensure that guests book themselves the correct cottage. The managing agent reserves the right to ask guests to move if guest do not.
- Guests must enter at their own risk.
- Breakage of Jacuzzi will result in 10% refund on total booking.
- Jacuzzi charged per day optional, please let the managing agent know if guests want to use it.
Cancellation Policy
- Full refund if cancellation is two weeks prior to arrival.
- 50% refund if cancellation is less than two weeks prior to arriaval.
- No refund if cancellation is less than two days prior to arrival.
