AfriCamps Forest at Kam’Bati River Resort is situated on an Overberg farm about 20km west of Swellendam. The Sonderendriver and Breede River meet on the property and this 5 star luxury Boutique Camping tent is located in a beautiful and quiet patch of forest close to the river makig this the perfect get away for the adventurous family and friends alike. There are canoeing, mountain biking and swimming facilities and a swimming pool for the children.
The reception area has got its own shop selling the basic necessities while Swellendam with its many attractions is just a short drive away.
This 55m2 custom made tent is fully furnished and equipped with a private kitchen, lounge, en-suite bathroom with a private shower and toilet, two comfy bedrooms with real beds, a fireplace, air conditioning and a wooden deck.
Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen size bed and have their own private entrance which allows for maximum privacy. One bedroom also contains an extra single bunk bed, so the tent will comfortably sleep a family of 5.
The spacious open plan lounge area has a comfortable couch and a fully equipped kitchen with a stove/oven and bar fridge/freezer.
The large dining room area has a solid wooden table with enough seating for 5 people to enjoy wintery warm dinner time meals together or refreshing salads and early morning breakfasts.
During the winter months the fireplace will be the perfect way to warm up the tent while the air conditioning unit will be able to keep one cool during those hot summer nights.
There is a private bathroom comes with a hot shower cabin, washbasin and flushing toilet.
One can overlook the peaceful, natural surroundings of the beautiful estate and enjoy the large wooden deck at the front of the tent that comes with comfortable wooden loungers.
When days get warmer one can pull up the front covers and transform the tent into a big outdoor living area and unwind while enjoying the beautiful weather and taking in the serene natural beauty of the South African landscape.

- Guests are kindly requested to inform management of the camp reception with their check in time.
- Please phone management 30 minutes prior to arrival. This way guests are ensured that the check-in can be arranged without delays.
- Unfortunately no pets allowed on the farm.
- The following items or services are not included in the price, unless otherwise stated: Food & Beverage, Activities & Tours, Daily cleaning service - Complimentary cleaning every 4th day only, Wood and firelighters for the woodstove and campfires which is for sale at farm.
- The optional breakfast baskets and braai packages are placed in the tent for guests to prepare themselves.
- Management and the corresponding farm accepts no liability for: theft, loss or damage, of whatever nature, during or as a result of a stay on one of our affiliated farms, falling into defect or putting out of action of technical equipment and loss or closure of supplies on the farm.
- The guests and those who accompany him or her, are jointly and severally responsible for all loss and/or damage which arises, for management, the farm in question and/or any third party as a direct or an indirect consequence of their stay, irrespective of whether this was caused through actions or refraining from actions by themselves or by third parties, who are at the farm through their making, as well as of all damage which is caused by any animal and/or matter which they have under their responsibility.
- If guests leave their tent in an improper condition, management is entitled to charge a fee of additional cleaning costs. This fee can double, in combination with a late departure.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation 1 month before arrival: 50% fee.
- Cancellation 1 month or on arrival: 100% fee.
