rtd2016reIf you’ve never heard of Rocking the Daisies but you’re into the South African music scene, read this now! This exciting weekend of music, food and pure fun is so widely anticipated that the Early Bird tickets will soon be sold out (the organisers announced on Facebook a few hours ago that only 150 Early Bird tickets were left), and the festival only takes place from October the 6th to the 9th, 2016. If you want to avoid being among those who book the last phase of tickets (which will cost the most), go get your tickets now!

But while you make up your mind at the last minute, remember (or discover) the appeal of Rocking the Daisies. Every year the festival takes place at the magnificent Cloof Wine Estate in Darling, boasting a superb line-up of South Africa’s and the world’s best featuring across numerous stages throughout the estate. 2015’s Rocking the Daisies was a prime example of this. Over 70 artists, including bands, DJs, and solo artists featured, across a broad range of genres. Music fans had the pleasure of camping out in this lovely wine estate near to the picturesque town of Darling, famous for its flowers in the spring.

What else to expect at Rocking the Daisies 2016

Besides the stunning line-up that is still to be confirmed, there are other reasons why you will definitely enjoy the Rocking the Daisies festival of 2016. You have so many options when it comes to getting to Rocking the Daisies in Darling. You could drive, take a bus (organised through RTD), cycle and even walk. Yes, cycling and walking! For the adrenaline seekers and adventurous, there can be no better way to get to this exciting concert event. To reduce congestion on the roads, in the past RTD advised that people carpool. Last year they even offered the first 2000 cars to arrive in a carpool priority parking! How’s that for some motivation?

Because you cannot possibly go through this entire fun-packed weekend without food, the Daisies Food Village is available to make sure you stay well fed throughout your stay at the Cloof Wine Estate.

At the moment, only the Early Bird ticket is available for purchase at R 650.00, and it’s nearly sold out. Prices for the next ticket phases are still to be announced. There are registration fees for Walking and Cycling the Daisies but you can expect to get announcements about this early next year.
